Time off for modern startups
Approve in a tap, see who's covered, and keep work moving with async transition plans on every leave — so time off doesn't park the work. No accruals, no enterprise HR bloat.

Why Ample
Most time-off software is built around accrual balances and compliance. When PTO is unlimited, that machinery just gets in the way. Ample keeps the two things that still matter: coverage and rest.
What makes us different
Anyone can build an approve button. The hard part is the work that gets parked when someone leaves. Ample attaches a lightweight transition plan to every leave, so the team always knows what's covered — and where to look. It's why people can actually unplug.
Features
Every request shows whether saying yes leaves a team with nobody around — before you click approve.
A timeline and calendar of every approved and pending leave, grouped by team, with a coverage strip on top.
Auto-approve what's safe. Route the rest to the right people — any-one, all, or in sequence.
Leaving for a week? Capture what's paused, who's covering, and where the work lives — on the request itself.
See who hasn't taken time off in a while, so unlimited PTO doesn't quietly become no PTO.
Post to Slack, sync to Google Calendar. Time off shows up where people already are.
How we compare
Vacation Tracker pioneered Slack-native PTO. Timetastic perfected the simple holiday calendar. BambooHR set the SMB HRIS standard. All three skip the parts that matter most for an unlimited-PTO startup — the work behind the leave.

What teams say
“We were running PTO on a Notion table and Slack pings. Ample replaced both in an afternoon. The handoff briefs are what sold our engineers — they actually unplug.”
“Coming from BambooHR, the contrast is stark. No accrual policies to configure. Just the bits that matter for a remote team on unlimited PTO.”
“The coverage warning has stopped at least three near-misses this year. We almost approved the whole eng team out the week of launch. Ample caught it.”
How it works
Your workspace is created from your email domain. Nothing to configure, no IT ticket.
A two-field request — dates and type. Optional handoff notes for whoever's covering.
Ample auto-approves what's safe and only flags requests that would leave a team uncovered.
Pricing
No accrual add-ons, no per-feature upsells. Start free.

For growing remote teams.
Common questions
Ample lives in Slack and Google Calendar. Requests come in as Slack messages; approved leave syncs to your shared calendar; the out-of-office status updates itself. Nothing new to remember.
Yours, always. Export every leave, employee, and approval to CSV from Reports. Approved leave keeps living in Google Calendar even if you turn Ample off — no lock-in.
Not yet — those are on the Business tier. Today: per-org row-level isolation, Google sign-in, and SPF/DKIM/DMARC on sending. If your team requires SOC 2 to evaluate vendors, we're not ready for you yet — and we'll say so.
CSV export and Google Calendar sync work with everyone. Direct integrations with Deel, Rippling, and BambooHR are on the roadmap. If your HRIS already handles PTO well, you probably don't need us.
Honestly? Probably not. Ample is built specifically for unlimited PTO; we don't track allowances, carryover, or TOIL on purpose. If you need accrual math, BambooHR or Charlie HR are better choices.
